If you enjoyed the Disney+ and Pixar’s animated feature “Luca” this year you are in for a holiday treat, we are getting a spin-off short called “Ciao Alberto”.
The studio has released a trailer that shows Alberto’s life with the mightly fisherman Massimo in Portorosso. The whole thing is narrated as if writing a postcard to his best friend Luka who is away at school.
In the original film, both Alberto and Luca are sea creatures that turned into humans when they were not in the water.
Now Alberto is enjoying his new life in Portorosso working alongside Massimo, the imposing, tattooed, one-armed fisherman of few words.

He wants more than anything to impress his mentor, but it’s easier said than done.
Directed by McKenna Harris and produced by Matt DeMartini, Pixar Animation Studios’ “Ciao Alberto” launches exclusively on Disney+ on Nov. 12, 2021.
