Get your wands ready – the third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise is finally coming…and it’s earlier than anticipated.
The film was initially scheduled for a July 2022 release, but it has been announced that it will be brought forward and released in cinemas in April 2022.
This is extremely exciting news for fans, who have been eagerly waiting for four years for the next release after the previous film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald left them with a wild cliffhanger, which revealed that the powerful wizard Credence Barebone was in fact Albus Dumbledore’s never-before-mentioned younger brother.
Warner Bros. has also announced that the title of the film will be
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
which will see the return of its star-studded cast: Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Jessica Williams as Professor Hicks, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander, William Nadylam (Yusuf Kama), Poppy Corby-Teuch as Vinda Rosier, and Victoria Yeates as Bunty.
The main new face to be seen in The Secrets of Dumbledore is Mads Mikkelsen, who will replace Johnny Depp as Grindelwald after it was revealed last November that Depp would be departing the series.
Stay tuned and brace yourselves for the trailer when it drops!
