Jo Calderone is no more.

Lady Gaga recently participated in a lie detector test with Vanity Fair, released on Wednesday (February 19). During the interview, she shared the fate of her bold alter ego, Jo Calderone, first introduced during her Born This Way era. According to People, when shown a photo of herself as Calderone, Gaga paused before delivering the bittersweet revelation about the character’s future.

“Calderone” starring alongside Lady Gaga in the music video for “Yoü and I.” Gaga fully embraced the character, staying in costume and persona throughout the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. During the event, she delivered a memorable performance with Brian May, guitarist of Queen, and later presented an award to Britney Spears.

During the polygraph interview, Gaga shared her thoughts on whether she would ever don another meat dress—a nod to the unforgettable outfit she debuted on the 2010 MTV VMAs red carpet.

The “Disease” singer is kicking off her Mayhem era in style! With the album dropping on March 7, Lady Gaga is serving up some serious nostalgia.
