Early morning earthquake hits Collinsville

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake has rattled parts of North Queensland overnight.

Geoscience Australia (GA) reported the earthquake hit Collinsville at 12:44am on Thursday morning at a depth of 7km.

A GA 'Shake Map' showed the quake was moderate in Collinsville but light shaking could be felt towards the coast in Bowen and parts of Airlie Beach.
