Three new COVID cases in Queensland
There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Queensland.
All of the new cases are linked to a cluster at a Correctional Services Centre.
One of the cases lives in Forest Lake, the other two at Pimpama.
Deputy Premier Stephen Miles said this is the first confirmed cases of community transmission on the Gold Coast.
"They haven't been in quarantine and so it is necessary restrictions are extended."
Therefore restrictions have been further extended to the Gold Coast.
As of Saturday 8am, 10 people will be allowed inside homes and outside gatherings will also be limited to 10.
Restrictions are now in place for the Gold Coast, Metro North, Metro South and West Moreton.
