Heads Up For Motorcyclists

If you own a motorcycle and you live in the Mackay region, Police have a message for you.  

Within the last four weeks, Police have identified an increase in the number of reported thefts of motorcycles, about 12 motorcycles have been stolen in that short time period.

Most have been stolen from garages, sheds, yards and also rural locations.

The National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council (NMVTRC) have great tips on their website on keeping your motorcycles safe.

Anything you can do to make the activities of a thief more complicated is well worth doing.

Police are appealing for residents who may witness any suspicious activity to report the matter as soon as possible – regardless of the time of day.
