Police have charged a man after he allegedly assaulted two people at a licenced premises in Proserpine on Friday night.
It will be alleged around 10.30pm an verbal argument occurred between the man and a 31-year-old female staff member of the Chapman Street business.
It will be further alleged the man punched the woman in the face four times before striking her in the abdomen multiple times and stealing her keys.
The man then left the venue and was approached by a 77-year-old man from inside the venue who he allegedly pushed over.
The woman received serious facial injuries and the man suffered bruising and abrasions.
The 37-year-old Proserpine man has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, assault and robbery. He has also been charged with assault (DV) and contravene a domestic violence order from an earlier unrelated incident.
