A woman has been rescued by a Navy Ship after being bitten by a shark while on a vessel 10 hours offshore from Mackay.
The incident happened around 4.30pm Wednesday, with the woman in her 50s suffering multiple lacerations to the lower leg.
HMAS Warramunga rendezvoused with the patient, providing medical assistance before taking her to Mackay Harbour.

Paramedics met them there and transported the woman to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
