A 19-year-old man has been charged over an alleged wounding at West Mackay.
The man was driving on the Ring Road with an 18-year-old man, before the pair got into an altercation around 11:45pm on January 19 at Michener Court.
During the fight the 19-year-old is accused of hitting the victim with a wooden club to the hand causing a minor injury.
Police were called and spoke with the victim at the Mackay Base Hospital.
The older man was arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and failing to be properly supervised whilst driving on a learners permit.
He will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on February 6.
