Police created an exclusion zone at a Mackay intersection yesterday, after a suspicious object was found.
An improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered at around 1.00pm and specialist police were called to the scene.
They deemed the package not dangerous.

Gordon Street was closed between Wellington and Milton streets until midnight.
Police say forensic testing is ongoing.
