Detectives have released CCTV of a Mackay man in the lead up to his suspicious death earlier this month.
67-year-old John Patrick Hackett was found at his unit on Gold Street around 7.18pm on Saturday, November 9 following a welfare check by family members.
A crime scene was declared and police launched a homicide investigation after a post mortem examination indicating evidence of an assault.
They have now released footage of Mr Hackett at a Goldsmith Street grocery store on November 5.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have observed any interaction or altercation between John Patrick Hackett and another person on the afternoon or evening of Tuesday, November 5.
Any person or vehicle travelling within the vicinity of Gold Street in Mackay between 5pm and 7pm on November 5 who may have witnessed the man or has dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
