Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly assaulted during a road rage incident in Andergrove.
It happened at a shopping centre carpark along Campbell Street around 5.00pm on September 6.
Paramedics came to the scene where they found a 45-year-old man seriously injured on the ground next to his white Holden Commodore.
He was transported to Mackay Hospital for treatment.
A 42-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and will reappear in the Mackay Magistrates court.
It’s alleged before the assault an altercation occurred between the occupants of two vehicles along Sams Road and Glenpark Street.
Mackay detectives are appealing to witnesses, particularly anyone with relevant vision of the two vehicles at the time of the alleged incident, to come forward.
