Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements will be removed for visitors to residential aged care facilities, disability accommodation and prisons.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the changes, which come into effect from 1am, Thursday, June 30.
In addition, the high-risk worker COVID-19 vaccine mandate will be revoked in schools, early childhood education, outside school care, kindergartens, family day care, police watch-houses, youth detention centres, airports.
Decisions on mandatory vaccinations will instead be made by employers, Ms Palaszczuk says.
Mandatory vaccines are still required for workers in healthcare, hospitals, aged care and disability care.
The public health direction requiring post-arrival testing for those travelling to Queensland from international locations is also removed.
Workers in healthcare, hospitals, aged care and disability care must be vaccinated.
